Maxine Lemmons is an angsty, angry teenage girl in a dysfunctional family ran by alcohol, drugs, and lies. When she finds out Payton Wells, her enemy, commited suicide, she was pissed.  However, whenever she discovers a video sent to her by Payton a week before her death, she finds out that her death wasn't on her own accord. She also finds out that Payton wasn't the only victim. She is only given a few clues as to what happened, but that little bit of a clue was enough to have her set out to find the truth. Will Maxine find out what happened to Payton Wells before it's to late? Or will she get mixed up in something she can't escape from, something bigger than herself?
