Lieutenant Jasper Streak, or Jay as his friends know him is KIA (Killed in Action). Not everyone gets a second chance, but Jay is one of those lucky few. The military has invested heavily in a new Restore chip. Mounted in the brain, it continually back's up his entire consciousness and keeps it safe. If recovered, it can be uploaded via the Quantum matrix restore facility and with viable genetic material a new body can be cloned. Melding the two brings a body back to life. While Jay waits for his cloned body to mature, the military has devised a devious way of keeping those it has invested in mentally attuned. By creating a Dungeon Core type of VR, participants get to participate as a "Core" or an "Infiltrator".  Jay must decide which he will be, and what he will do to keep sane.  Defend or Die! Whichever way he goes, its way better than playing Chess.
