An old school, epic length, science-fantasy tale.  On the eve of his 15th birthday, Corvan discovers a small stone hammer buried beneath his backyard fort. The hammer opens hidden doors and reveals family secrets. When his best friend Kate is taken prisoner, Corvan leaves his small town to rescue her, but first makes an uneasy alliance with the guardian of the labyrinth. Cor Series backgroundEmulating early “portal” fiction such as “Stranger from the Depths” (1967) this subterranean adventure takes place in real space and time (1952).  A progression fantasy in the sense of increased understanding and skill, but also times of significant regression due to MC choices.  A science based world that at times appears somewhat magical. Love interests reflect the historical time frame and the young age of the MC’s. There is a significant shift heading into book II. Environmental undertones which reflect and expand on real world issues.   A personal project for over 15 years so there is a substantial backlog of chapters awaiting final edits and posting.
