Synopsis
In the ancient days of civilization humanity once prayed to the Archons, omnipotent beings with remarkable abilities border lining the impossible and incomprehensible. They once guided humanity through it's early years, unfortunately creating the society that would inevitably enslave them with a modernization of ancient magical practices combined with precise technological inhibitors implanted inside them. These inhibitors, also known as a Praetor IP-Mk.1 "implants" are created using bonded materials, as well specific consistent rituals indefinitely ran by AI using vibrations that mimic the "Old Language". Once implanted inside the Archon successfully, they are bound to whichever region Minister is assigned at the time. Most Archons are predominantly assigned to their country of origin, but this is not always the case as there are a few exceptions. Once humanity regained it's place as the apex species, a new type of arms race began once other larger regions noticed some had more Archons than others, this not only started an arm race but a bidding war for countries who could buy services from Archons in with some countries went bankrupt never fixing what they had set out to do only to be assimilated and reformed into a territory of that country's design creating many melting pots of government even in foreign areas. This sparked one of the darkest time for the Archons, after strenuous torture and experimentation and a small degree of technological advancements the Codex was created. The codex can only be placed inside suitable human hosts along their spine with a grafting surgery, non compatible hosts die from an internal incineration effect due too low mental or physical faculties. Once it's properly installed and online, the Codex can channel specific abilities based upon the government's Archon(s). This naturally scared the people of the world, thus the Overseer Council was formed, deciding or punishing those for what actions countries make with/or against each other. This resolved most of the heavy conflicts around the globe, however some still ravage in the territories, with vigilant Council observation. But all of this changes when a young man named Argus next in line for a codex receives unsanctioned powers after a life threatening injury from his very first Op, which ultimately turns the scales for global power for better or worse remains yet to be seen.
Writers notes: The first few chapters will be introducing multiple governments characters and lore from each perspective, once this is completed the stories will combine and thicken in plot. And a special thank you to all who read this series I plan to write.
