Synopsis
I was created to save my people.
A people not of Earth, but of a far distant planet, called Ey’os.
A world engulfed by war.
The once peaceful haven of my Av’rahn’ey race, laid siege to by those who’d made themselves their enemies – the Jallak. A kind not so unlike our own, but whereas we had wings with feathers, they had ones of skin and scales. But the rift between us was not born from a difference in appearances.
My people had a faith, not a religion, but a soul-deep relationship, with a triune Being we called our One True Maker. A Power from beyond our universe, who’d created all things, and to whom all things would someday return. We Av’rahn’ey believed the Maker’s words to be truth absolute, and spread them as far as we could, wanting all the peoples of the stars to have our same hope.

All Av’rahn’ey were to be executed on sight. And those who sympathized? There was to be no mercy on them either. Fear overtook every race as the Jallak army spread. Every planet that we’d touched was invaded and searched until not one of my people remained there alive. Soon the only ones left were those on Ey’os, and the only hope of survival they had …
… was me.
I had been created by my father, a genius, the most brilliant scientist of his time. With his incredible knowledge, he’d made me a body more durable than normal, with extra wings. He’d overhauled my DNA, given me two hearts, and spent twenty-two years hardwiring my brain. With the heart of an anomalous star at my core, I’d been made to be more powerful than anything the universe had ever seen. Even still, it wouldn’t be enough, because in those years my father had been perfecting me, the Jallak had been perfecting something of their own.
I was created to save my people.
But I would find out there was something much bigger than me that already had …
