The world is trapped beneath an ocean of darkness, the glass dome in the sky being the one thing that keeps them alive. The swordsman Ark is a lightbearer, one who wants to shine light upon the dark world, but in order to do so he must take seize control by rising up in the political world through any and all means. Through radicals and warfare, he will rise from an unknown face to the usurper's throne and he will build a brighter world atop an empire of blood. And even if the world hates him, he will be remembered as the last emperor who freed the world from this watery grave.
