Synopsis
"They will say that their passing through the galaxy was similar to the ways traced by the wind through the broken faces of cliffs and mountains, unpredictable, uncontainable, and yet, also natural, almost peaceful even, as if it had always been meant to be, and, who knows, perhaps it actually it was.
We once ruled everything, our cities were diamonds brighter than stars and our knowledge knew not the boundaries of morality or belief, and yet the light of science and mathematics paled when in the face of strange storms brought from afar, brought from beyond the fragile veils of human limitations.
Now new gods, silent gods, uncaring gods, have stepped on our cities, snuffed out our suns, disemboweled our fleets and empires, they have murdered what was thought immortal and sinned against the most sacred of dogmas, against the sanctity of the last temple left respected, against the last hope and belief, destroying the highest seat of power within the human heart.
The entire galaxy has gone dark. So now we lie in wait, in silence, and in prayer.
We are kings no longer, we stand tall no more, our rule is at an end, and only silence shall remain, the silence brought by them."
