I didn’t choose to wake up in a forest that wants me dead, with only a timer in the corner of my vision and mostly unhelpful system messages to keep me company. I didn’t ask to stumble into a world where magic makes you a target, and survival feels like balancing on the edge of a blade. But here I am. I’m Harriet Price—socially awkward, resourceful, and really just trying not to die. Glowbug, the weird creature I found in said murder forest, is my only constant. Together, we’ve faced monsters, bounty hunters, and an endless stream of blue-box notifications reminding me how fragile I am in this world. The truth? I don’t know if I belong here. But every day I wake up alive in this place, every choice I make here, brings me closer to understanding not just this place but myself. This is my story—a journey through a world that doesn’t care if I survive, where each victory feels hard-won and each connection is a risk. It’s a story about finding a purpose, even when everything else seems lost. ((A note from the author: I am very new to writing, and I write mostly for my own amusement. If other people enjoy the story I have crafted, that is a bonus to me. I welcome feedback, and if you see any inconsistencies, errors, or continuity problems, I will be grateful to hear about them so I can put them right.  The story I am writing is a LitRPG adventure with elements of horror, comedy, drama, and possibly some romance. It will involve some rough subjects. The world I have created is as soaked in blood as our own history on earth is. Fair warning- some scenes will be graphic and emotionally charged.
