Jack, a young regular seventeen-year-old man and his close friend Veri, a cyborg enhanced by robotic enhancements, set out to meet his sick grandmother in the next town over, before running into misfortune. Upon accidentally flying into an unlisted no flight zone, Veri is promptly shot out of the sky by a massive energy cannon, which causes them to fall deeply into a chasm. Wounded and immobilized upon landing, they're helped by a strange old man, who claims to have lived there for an entire decade. Their primary goal, to repair Veri's flight system, and escape the chasm alive.
