A young man named Lewis Byrne lives by himself and works at a grocery store as a bagger in order to earn enough money to pay for his college tuition. His normal life ends when he is sucked up into the air by a tornado. Upon awakening, he finds himself staring at the ground several thousand feet above and that he no longer has a human body anymore, but the weightless form of a cloud wisp.
