Barry was ready for death. He was wholly fed up with his miserable, fruitless, bed ridden existence. But when the moment of his last breath finally came, he was rudely interrupted by the cardinal event known as the great change. The moment when the human race was forced to come to terms with the reality that they were not alone in the universe, and that gods truly do exist.   Thrust into a strange environment known as the training grounds, Barry must fight to stay alive. He must learn to master his new, strange powers and use them to fight off both man and beast alike.
