All of my life, the rich and powerful have done whatever they wanted and have gotten away with barely a slap on the wrist. Dictators murder people by the thousands and live in luxury. Corporate polluters taint the land, sea and air. Corrupt politicians make decisions that harm millions just to line their pockets with gold. In my entire life, I could count on one hand the times when a powerful person has actually seen justice for their crimes.They think they can do whatever they want because for them,  there are no consequences.And for the most part, that's true.   There are very few repercussions for the rich.
