A wave that brings otherworldly abominations would appear on Earth and would continue to appear ever 4 months. Humanity fought and managed to successfully, and at the 200th wave, humanity has finally decided to send a manned mission towards the waves that brought pain and destruction to Earth for half a century since its first appearance in 1951. The mission was only expected to last for 4 months and the person sent to the waves would return but unfortunately, the 200th wave would be the last wave that would appear on Earth and the person who was sent their, Cassandra, will find herself stranded in a world that is significantly less technologically advanced but also suffering from the same waves, with no means of contacting back to Earth.
