Koiganax was a Kobold. Left abandoned after a Human eradication effort slaughtered his clan before he was even born, he develops a special hatred for the 'enlightened' races. Just as the flap of a butterfly's wings can cause a tornado, the building of a campfire can cause the end of an era.
