Archmund Granavale was nine years old, recovering from the Crylaxan Plague, when he remembered his first life as a (former) “gifted kid”. In that life, when he was a kid, the world told him for years that he would grow up to do great things and change the world. And then he grew up — and none of that happened. He didn’t remember how that life ended, but it was young. And he was miserable. In this second life, he can’t let that happen. A “gifted” kid absorbs a large amount of useless knowledge and trivia, like science fun facts, recipes, and self-help books — knowledge that could revolutionize a pre-industrial fantasy world — or that could free him from the inevitable burdens of a minor noble. It won’t be easy. Magic is real. Monsters lurk on the Frontier. Dungeons open, shaping the socioeconomic fates of the lands around them. Powerful entrenched forces control trade and military might, and he isn’t strong enough to disrupt them — yet. But he has all the resources of lesser gentry — magic Gems, independent wealth, and connections or the status to make them  —  and the knowledge of a burned-out gifted kid. This time, he will change the world — or at very least the path of his life. A focus on discovering a world from the perspective of someone thrust into it -- both its social and political situation, as well as the true nature of the magic in it.
