Once upon a time, the people from these lands have bound the datch, a peculiar animal, to their own will. No one remembers how it happened, but to this day, almost all have one of them as their bound companion. Some of these people are different though: their wills are not limited by a single companion. Their broods are powerful and sometimes even feared. This follows the story of two twins, growing up as both mercenaries and traders. Slowly they realise their abilities are a bit above the others.
