The year is 2199; the American Commonwealth is the only powerhouse nation left standing after World War III. The world population is 1.5 billion from its previous 10 billion. The natural world is now almost  lifeless. The only plants left are those of the rich and privileged. Air is produced in factories paid for with compulsory taxes and humanity is retreating. Now instead of going to school like most, students and go to a privately run building that contains hundreds of the newest virtual reality dive capsules. Life in reality is fading to the manufactured worlds of the future. This is the world of the gamers. This is my first book
