Synopsis

The epic conclusion to the story begun in Bound By Bravery: Book One. A massacre in Loso's market sector has caused violence to explode throughout the city. The city's slaves, long suffering under the cruelty of the great houses and their mercenaries, have been pushed into open revolt. In response, the great houses have placed the entire south-eastern sector of the city under blockade, restricting movement to and from the area through the use of checkpoints manned by vicious hussars. Fear runs rampant as both sides wait for the other to take the next step in escalation. At the heart of the conflict stands Surelin, crown princess of the fallen kingdom of Forelia, leading the slave's resistance efforts against the great houses. The tremendous task before her is to bring the resistance's meagre resources to bear against the overwhelming power of the great houses and somehow win freedom for her people, all while carefully navigating the internal politics of the movement. Her high minded ideals will be tested before the terrible brutality and tragedy of war. Her former companion, Gideon, has been sent into exile after his involvement with the massacre that started the revolt. Once again he must find purpose for himself, and overcome the legacy of selfishness and violence given to him by his mercenary father. The ongoing war within Loso's slums will test his fealty and his compassion, along with his courage to change. Destiny looms large on the horizon for both Surelin and Gideon, inexorably guiding them into conflict within Loso and beyond. Their battles will determine the fate of all the peoples of Western Lothringia for centuries to come. Bound by Bravery: Book Two is the direct continuation of the story started in book one. As such, I strongly recommend you read book one first. Book two assumes you've already read one, so you may feel rather lost if you haven't read it. Updates should happen at least three times a month, with some fluctuation depending on real life circumstances.
