Deemed a political risk, Edward Larkson is one of many unfairly imprisoned inside advanced virtual reality technology. The technology, originally designed for entertainment, has been retrofitted to make virtual death equivalent to actual death. Larkson is among the first beta-testers of the game and must survive until the end to avoid being killed.
