In the future, humans have been abandoning their more remote settlements to gather in the great technologically advanced cities which prepare them for interstellar travel. The Earth will remain behind, alone. But in the shadows of mankind, long forgotten things have surfaced again. Gargoyles and dragons, ghosts and demons, the fables of the ancients wake once more. In this new world, one ghost gathers three of these most pathetic monsters: a dragon trapped in a pitiful human shape for aeons, a skeleton that will not die, and a robot from the future whose personality has been reformatted many times. Together, they stumble their way through their ghost master's plans, as they are forced to face the wanted supernatural criminal Leo Crowe, an unlikely partnership between a human hunter and an ancient spirit, and their very own shadows.
