Bloodhunter, an alcoholic bounty hunter, just left her abusive husband. She gets drunk at a bar and flirts with a cute woman, Zaki. Zaki then recruits her to find her cousin, who is Warped. Warped are mutants that have been forced to the outskirts of society, many of whom are forced to beg to survive. The Warped hire Bloodhunter to recover Shards, which have religious significance to the church of Caveras The church of Caveras discovers that Bloodhunter is the savior meant to unify the Warped to survive against a new economic cult that worships money above all. Bloodhunter just wants a payday and to return back to repair what's left of her life, including taking care of her godson. Faith, nightmares and love have other plans.
