Synopsis
In the shadow of a crumbling Empire, the world has fallen prey to the might of vampires—beings of divine beauty and unspeakable cruelty. They descend from the skies like angels, yet they rule like gods, turning humans, dwarves, elves, and beastfolk into nothing more than cattle for their insatiable hunger. Under the iron grip of the Vampire Council, the nights are long, and hope is scarce.
Riven’s life in the peaceful village of Eldrin was simple—until the night the angels of death came. Left with nothing but the scars of his past and a burning hatred for the monsters who took everything from him, Riven sets out on a path of vengeance. But as he saves survivors from the vampires’ slaughter and word of his rebellion spreads, Riven finds himself leading more than just a fight—he’s building a sanctuary for the oppressed, a kingdom in the making.
But the vampires are not blind. From their thrones of blood, the Vampire Council watches, their immortal gaze set on Riven and his growing force. Their wrath is swift and merciless, and Riven will have to face horrors far greater than any he’s known—Knight-Class hunters, King-Class tyrants, and the enigmatic Vampire Gods themselves.
Armed with a cursed greatsword and the will to defy the gods, Riven gathers a band of unlikely warriors: a beastfolk brawler fueled by elemental fury, a gambler with cards that can bend reality, and others with talents forged in blood and fire. Together, they are the Ashten, humanity’s last stand against the darkness.
But survival comes at a cost. In a world where power is taken by force and sacrifice, how much of his humanity will Riven have to give up to protect those who follow him? And in the shadow of gods, can one man’s rage ignite a dawn—or will the night consume them all?
