Alexi Ira lost everything ten years ago when a daemon attacked her family, leaving her as the only survivor. Found by one of the greatest daemon hunters on the continent of Deigradus, Joshua "The Armory" and with her childhood gone, Alexi dedicated her life to training to kill as daemons as she could, until one inevitably kills her. All that work was towards her ultimate goal, the training grounds of all daemon hunters, and the only way for her to obtain her license: Lostvail Academy.  When Students begin to go missing, the Headmaster of Lostvail, and an old friend of Joshua's, calls him back to take his old position as instructor while investigating the disappearances, giving Alexi the chance to finally fulfill her dream. While at Lostvail, Alexi is able to make friends for the first time and finds herself torn between the chance of leading the semi-normal life she ha given up on long ago and the call of fight against a vile plot that threatens the very world itself. Alexi must make a choice, all while coming to terms with a past she doesn't fully understand and the insecurities and trauma that have defined her up until now.
