Jacob ran his fingers up and down Chalxaes back as she slept curled up on his side. Cathrine slept on his other side while the others were elsewhere. Jacob picked up her bandaged right arm and gently kissed the fingers before placing her arm back down. She mumbled something before scooting closer causing Jacob to smile as he pulled up and looked at the loot from yesterday.

Description: This necklace is bound around what seems to be glass, but it is covered in runes and glyphs both etched in the glass and the metal surrounding it. Contained within is a spark of something, an energy that refuses to stay still constantly changing and moving within.

Jacob pulled the necklace out and studied it, whatever it contained was quite beautiful he thought as he studied it and tried to figure out what it was. Suddenly Chalxae slapped him, "What the fuck? If you wanted my attention just say something you didn't need to slap me." Jacob spit out.

"Jacob, we have both been trying to get your attention for the last 10 minutes, neither one of us could get through too you. So I decided to use a more direct means of gaining your attention." Chalxae stated while looking worriedly at him and the necklace. Jacob immediately pushed the creepy thing into his inventory, another thing he had to figure out and maybe hide it too.

"Sorry, I did not mean to make you two worry. Did you hurt your hand?" Jacob asked.

Chalxae and Cathrine both dismissed his concerns, "Jacob we are awake because this is the normal time we get up, you are usually gone for at least an hour by now. So how long have you been looking at that weird necklace?" Cathrine asked.

Jacob was worried now but since he was no longer under the influence of it, he put it out of his mind. "It does not matter, it's in my inventory now and can no longer influence me. I will find a safe place to put it after I get it identified. I am sorry I worried you both, I should have been more cautious with what we acquired, it won't happen again. Now, why don't we all go get some breakfast? Chalxae I am sure you will need to eat plenty to make sure your arm heals up properly."

----------------------------------------

Jacob slammed the hammer down repeatedly trying to forge the plate into a helm, while others looked on in amusement. Bastards. It was turning into a lopsided cone more than anything. "Well, that's a nice try lad...but I think you should reforge it." The head smith stated causing the others to laugh before going back to their own work. Bastards Jacob thought as he shoved the half-complete helm back into the furnace and moved to the iron chainmail shirt, it had finally cooled somewhat so Jacob began inspecting it for imperfections and it wasn't much better than the helm. The system wouldn't even identify it as armor yet...

Jacob lay the armor aside to put it back into the furnace once the iron helm was melted down again. "Sir, can I have a moment of your time?" Nadal asked from the nearby doorway of the Smithy. Jacob checked and the helm was still solid and not melted down again yet so Jacob moved over to the Captain-General.

"How can I help you, Nadal?" Jacob asked the Drow.

"I was just wondering what your orders were going to be for the Fifth Legion once it is commissioned?" Nadal asked as he looked around the Smithy.

Jacob frowned, "The Fifth Legion will be assigned to the Arathia Basin, the Third will be moved to Anchorhead and the First Legion will be moved to the Tomb Nadal. We will shift 2,000 of the Home Legion to Ineford, that should keep Dudrik happy. The new recruits from Ineford will be assigned to the Fifth to bring it up to full strength. Any other questions?" Jacob asked the Drow as he moved to check on the helm, it was slowly losing its shape as it warped and melted.

"Why learn smithing, if you don't mind asking?" Nadal asked.

Jacob smiled, "It gives me something to fall back on if I ever get tired of being a king or if I get fired from that job." Jacob told him with amusement and making the Drow snort in amusement. If he got fired from his current job, he would be leaving feet first. Nadal laughed as he walked away.

"That includes all my armor and weapons of Uncommon to Epic I have at that level." The Gnome stated as Jacob looked at the inventory.

Jacob looked at the various items before him, but got rid of any necklaces and rings, he only concentrated on offhand items, weapons, and armor that could be used for at least 10 levels. After a few minutes of looking at the inventory and consider the steep price, he purchased Robes of the Moonwalker and the Staff of Ancient Guardians. Jacob threw the items in his inventory as he walked out of the store, both Chalxae and June quickly fell into step with him.

"So what did you buy?" June asked as the walked along the streets. The Legionnaires he saw completely ignored him, he was here today as in Immortal and adventurer, not as King.

"Got a couple of items for Mug, now we are heading to the Lower City as soon as Eiloma and Cathrine show up. I hope they don't break my bank." Jacob stated as they walked through the streets.

"Well we got invited to the Spring Tide Ball, it is a way for the Regent to introduce you to all the people of power in the city and maybe a few guests as well," Chalxae stated earning Jacob a snort.

"I can live without politics, but since I am who I am, I do not have a choice in the matter. My worries are if any Immortals show up or the Slavers Union or any of their allies." Jacob replied.

June smiled, "It doesn't matter that both Cathrine and Eiloma gave you the evil eye until you agreed to go."

"Yes, and I look forward to seeing you all in dresses once more. Since I have to go, so do you, two ladies." Jacob smiled as Chalxae sputtered and tried to immediately make an excuse but Jacob ignored her as he saw Cathrine and Eiloma walking their way.

Jacob whistled at both the stats of the robe and the cost causing the women to flinch, "Yeah, a lot of people do that but I always take it out hoping someone, someday will purchase the damned things but...no one ever does" She stated as she started to close the box.

Jacob grabbed the lid and stopped her cold, "I will pay 2,300 Gold for those robes and the Damned Lord set." Jacob offered.

The woman narrowed her eyes, "2,700 Gold." She countered making him smile. If she was willing to come down, the could haggle the price even more.

"2,400 Gold." Jacob countered.

The woman smiled, "2,500 Gold and not a copper less.' Jacob considered it and hoped that in buying this equipment paid off in the long run before shaking her hand and paying for it. The woman quickly grabbed the Tome and Wand placed them in the box with the Robe before sliding it over to Jacob. 'Nice doing business with you."
