Black Garland is a fic based on the Shadowrun tabletop rpg. The year is 2071 and the world is more divided and dangerous then ever. Corporations are unchained from territorial laws. Natural disasters happen with alarming frequency. Poverty runs rampant while technology advances at a breakneck pace bringing miracles like cybernetics, VR and simsense. Oh and did I mention that magic has also returned to our world? You heard me right chummer. elves, orks and dwarves walk the streets, wageslave mages sling spells for the megacorps and great dragons dominate the skies as well as corporate boardrooms. Follow Jack Garland as he stumbles his way to a new world and tries to make a name for himself in the shadows of Seattle. While I love the setting, I never could get my party interested in playing. This is my way of experiencing the rich stories available while you dear readers do the same through the eyes of Jack. With this fic I will try to keep a nice pace with proper character and plot arcs. Expect Jack to get from weak to strong (but not broken), some light slice of life elements as well as plenty of action, espionage and heists!
