With the advent of gate technology, humanity has taken to the stars. Vast is its network of planets and need for moving parts. Freight pilot Maria Valmont plays one of these roles with her freighter The Black Crow. Unfortunately her luck will find her lost in space with things humanity has never seen and a force that science does not like. Maybe she will make it back, maybe she won't. If she does though, it will be the greatest discovery in human history.
