Camp counselors at Gull Lake busied themselves to open the summer campground for the onslaught of incoming adolescents.  Contained within the campground stands a unique sanctuary for birds orphaned or born into captivity.  The most recent arrival, MorningStar, a tender-hearted juvenile Magpie calls this haven home.  Even though she joyfully flits around with the Blue Jays, the Chickadees, and the Sparrows; MorningStar longs for a partner like the loving collaboration between the local Mourning Doves.  As her time nears where she will be released back into the wild; MorningStar faces it with hope in building new friendships, creating a new family and discovering a lifetime mate.
