Synopsis
Without realizing it, I became Esranne Reline, a side character in a reverse harem novel. Esranne's role was simple-she was a gossipy girl who made Lyra's life more difficult. But I wasn't going to follow her path. Esranne's fate was tragic-once a noble, she was forced to become a maid due to her family's debts. I wouldn't let that be my story.
But things didn't go as expected. The four male leads, who were supposed to obsess over Lyra, seemed uninterested in her. They were acting strangely normal, like ordinary people, which was unlike the obsessive, passionate characters in the novel.
The more I spent time with them, the more I noticed something was off. There was a tension beneath their calm exteriors, a quiet secret they were hiding. They weren't the perfect, idealized figures I'd imagined. I realized they had dark, hidden sides to them.
The more I got to know them, the more I sensed the weight of their secrets. It became clear that something was wrong, but they weren't ready to tell me. The bond between them was strong, and I wondered if their secret would eventually drag me into it too.
Despite my suspicions, I felt drawn to them. They weren't just characters from the novel-they were real, complex, and mysterious. We were no longer following the original plot. We were rewriting it, and I wasn't sure where it would lead.
But one thing was certain: I wasn't going to let Esranne's tragic fate be mine. I would uncover the truth, even if it changed everything.
