The Supreme Time Protector nodded slowly, as did the other two past versions of the Supreme Time Protector, as Kahli stepped forward in affirmation of her desire to become a [Time Manipulator].
"Very well," said all three of the Supreme Time Protectors in unison. "We three as one gift you this [class], please don't become a pain in our ass!"
Kahli snorted a little with laughter. That was kind of a ridiculous thing to say before something indeed so great and monumental.
"This may be a bit intense, mind you," said a Supreme Time Protector.
All three of the Supreme Time Protectors held up their hands and charged up bright, white power between themselves. The started chanting something in an old, forgotten language that even Kahli hadn't heard of.
"Scheti schuta blockem hardhon. Thitan nachti blekit hausstom."
In a flash, the balls of white light supercharged and shot over to Kahli's chest, suddenly imbuing her with a milky glow.
[You've been offered the class 'Time Manipulator.']
[Would you like to accept this class? You cannot undo this.]
She couldn't undo it? As Kahli stood there in the void, submerged in the light glow of the Supreme Time Protectors' power, she was starting to wonder if there was any reason why she shouldn't accept it. Almost like she was getting a cold left foot over the whole thing or something.
But there was no [checkpoint] coming, apparently. This was her decision to make, unequivocally and irrevocably. Froufrou seemed happy enough to oblige, and that was great, but Kahli was just starting to realize how little she knew of this Supreme Time Protector. And, truthfully, they seemed like a bit of a mess. There were multiple timelines in existence where the Supreme Time Protector had killed themselves after getting in an argument with... their past selves. It just made her feel like the Supreme Time Protector was more than a little unhinged, and possibly a fool.
[Please decide now. Would you like to accept this class?]
Couldn't Kahli at the very least get some more information on what having a [class] would do, since it wass irrevocable?
[Clarification: Accepting this class will imbue you with the powers of a Time Manipulator. Namely, it will do a few things immediately, and further things over time. The first thing you will notice is that on choosing the Time Manipulator class you will get new attributes on your character sheet tailored to that class. It will be rather easy, as gaining a class triggers the leveling up process preemptively by granting you a large amount of XP. You will most likely want to spend what points you have in order to level up these new attributes you gain. Additionally, your currently existing skills will gain a slant towards Time Manipulation, although this will be generally more subtle save for Seismic Sense, which of course is already tied in to your time-based power. Accepting this class will also allow you options to level up skills in the future in ways more tailored to the concept of manipulating and controlling time, so that as you progress you'll be able to do more and more with time.]
Kahli felt a small bit of hesitancy here. Did this mean that, as she had somewhat feared, she'd lose touch with her present stone elementality?
[Classes are generally separate from elementality. While time can be considered its own element in a way, just as light is in the elementality scale, as long as you use both time and your stone elementality you will not lose, you will only gain.]
That made her feel a little bit better. Overall, the system was making Kahli a lot more comfortable with the idea of accepting a [class]. It didn't seem like the end of the world, she just hadn't liked how permanent it had sounded and was a little used to being spoiled for choice. With that, Kahli decided that she would indeed accept the [class]. She had come this far, and she had twisted time in order to get it - there was no reason not to proceed at this point. The opportunity cost was far too high, and Kahli didn't even know if she'd ever get another chance to choose a [class] like this. Especially a [class] like this, she realized.

[Level up]
Wow, it had leveled Kahli up unprompted. Now that was a new one.
[Congratulations, you've reached level 25]
[Would you like to spend your 10 attribute points?]
Ten attribute points? Now wasn't that something else. Of course Kahli wanted to spend them! She was dying to.
[Attributes]
[INT: 12]
[STM: 14]
[CHAR: 14]
[DEX: 12]
[STR: 11]
[CLA: 1 (new)]
[PER: 1 (new)]
[SPEE: 1 (new)]
Three new [attributes], all at 1. Well, it was a good thing that Kahli had these new points to spend! Only... What exactly were these [attributes] again? She wasn't sure.
[Clairvoyance (CLA)]
[This attribute is your ability to visualize into the fourth dimension from the time of the present. This allows you to see glimpses of potential future events. Leveling your clairvoyance higher will make it more powerful, clear, and less vulnerable to system obfuscation by bad actors.]
Wow! So Kahli was going to be clairvoyant, was she? How much would that grant her? She was looking forward to seeing it in action.
[Perception (PER)]
[This attribute is not specific to Time Manipulators, however, your perception allows you to better access into understanding how events connect together in broader timelines. Leveling up perception will allow you to see more clearly why exactly, for example, eating a piece of toast could cause a skeletal beast to run up and attack one of your party members.]
Well, that was interesting. So [PER] was perception, but for Kahli as a [Time Manipulator], it specifically applied to how she perceived time itself. That was pretty cool.
[Speed (SPEE)]
[Do not confuse this attribute with agility, a more common attribute that many system users have access to. Speed is a very specific time-based attribute that actually allows the ability to manipulate the speed at which time passes for you and, as the attribute level increases, those surrounding you as well. Much like your system sometimes causes time to expand and contract, use of this attribute will allow you the same power at will, albeit to a weaker degree.]
Wait, so this [attribute] gave Kahli the power to control the speed of time? That was... absolutely insane. She couldn't wait to try it out!
The only thing there was to do now was to decide how exactly Kahli would divide up all her [attribute] points. She had ten to spend, and three new [attributes] to level up. She couldn't split them all evenly, but Kahli wanted to almost split them evenly, as what good was an [attribute] stuck a level one? That being said, if she gave each new [attribute] three points, that left one extra [attribute] point to spend. So, which new [attribute] would she spend it on? Of course Kahli could level up one of her other [attributes] as well, but they all seemed quite boring at the present moment, so she focused on the new, lower level stuff. And as she looked them over, Kahli knew what she wanted to do.
[Attributes]
[INT: 12]
[STM: 14]
[CHAR: 14]
[DEX: 12]
[STR: 11]
[CLA: 3 (new)]
[PER: 3 (new)]
[SPEE: 4 (new)]
Now that was a good list of [attributes] right there. Kahli was thrilled to have some new ones and couldn't wait to see how these new systemic abilities improved her fighting and her general day to day life. If she ever got to experience a general day to day life again...
There was no use dwelling on that! Kahli wanted to bask in the glory of what had just happened. She had just leveled up to level 25, and she'd just gotten a [class]! She was a [Time Manipulator] now!
[Froufrou is ready to level up]
[Would you like to level up Froufrou?]
Kahli was even happier. Of course she wanted to level up Froufrou. Froufrou always deserved a good leveling. And Kahli was excited to see what gaining the [class] would do for Froufrou, too.
[Level up]
[Level up]
Woah! Froufrou had burst out of there with two level ups? That was just impressive to Kahli, she had to admit.
[Froufrou]
[Level 9]
[Would you like to spend Froufrou's 10 attribute points?]
Froufrou got ten [attribute] points, too? Well then, Kahli definitely wanted to spend them!
[Attributes]
[INT: 20]
[STM: 1]
[CHAR: -2]
[DEX: 10]
[STR: 1]
[LIN: 1 (new)]
[SME: 1 (new)]
[CUR: 1 (new)]
Kahli had a lot of thoughts about Froufrou's [attributes], to the point that it made her wonder why she hadn't thought to look them over sooner. First of all, she didn't know how she felt about Froufrou having more [INT] than her, although it did make a good deal of sense. Along with that, she didn't really agree with how Froufrou was allocating her [attribute] points, although Kahli figured that it was working well enough for her and that ultimately the decision was more Froufrou's than her own. That being said, Kahli was quite interested to learn about all these new [attributes] Froufrou had as a [Time Manipulator]. They were quite different than her own, it seemed.
[Lineality (LIN)]
[Froufrou's tendrils have the ability to interact with timelines in a unique fashion due to her new status as a Time Manipulator. They can actually phase lightly between timelines and sometimes bring small objects back with them. Leveling up this attribute will make this more effective. This attribute assumes timeline theory wherein even after you select a timeline, all possible and indeed even impossible timelines continue in perpetuity.]
Wow. That was... absolutely wild. And to think, Kahli had thought of her own new [attributes] as something strange and special - when in reality they had been but pebbles compared to this sort of thing, she felt.
This must've been Froufrou's Harbinger of Doom properties coming into play, Kahli figured. With that, she started looking at the other strange [attributes] Froufrou had gained, nervous to see what all abilities they might impart.
