Two friends, Zack and an orphan named Matthew, live together in a secluded village within deep forest. Their lives were peaceful, until one day, a new stranger moves into town. A young boy their age, named Max, steals Matthew's necklace: a gift given to him by his deceased mother. When Matthew and Zack learn of Max getting on board with his brother to transport goods overseas, they sneak onto the ship, with Max unaware. They eventually learn about Max's past, and make him an ally. Soon, Max begins to see that these guys are more than just people he can mess with. He begins to see them as brothers.
