This story takes place at the very beginning of the BEFORE DUSK timeline, where lowly loser Rei Walker gets struck by strange lightning from an anomalous storm, and gets sent to a fantasy world known as Avindor. It is there which Rei meets several characters, including some new close friends, who guide him on a quest to save Avindor.
