“Mr, you’re awake?”
Li Song had just opened his eyes and was yet to make any sense of his surroundings when a voice of a young girl resounded within his ears.
Mr?
Li Song thick long eyebrows trembled slightly; something was flashing within those confused pupils.
Had he not die?
How could he still be alive?
Recalling the series of events, Li Song felt some pain.
But the place hurt the most, was undoubtedly his heart.
He had been through life and death ordeal on the battlefield, fighting alongside each other to protect their country together.
The ceiling was as white as the snow, there was also some blinding white light and a lingering smell of disinfectant; all of these, for Li Song who had just got her consciousness was too peculiar and felt somewhat unfamiliar.

‘What is happening?’
‘Why my head suddenly hurts so much?’
“Are you alright, where do you feel uncomfortable?”
“………”
“I’ll call the doctor!” The nurse jumped up, and his hand reached for the bedside button.
“Hurts.”
Li Song was clutching her head; the pain was unbearable, it felt like as if long thick of needles were pricking her brain, and along with the pain there were endless images that flashed through her mind.
‘Yes, these are memories!’
From the bits and pieces of intermittent memories, Li Song finally knew why he was lying here, and where this place was.
As a person hated throughout the school, he had a lot of reason to be hated.
When he was in elementary school, he was framed by his childhood friend for stealing and got bullied despite him claiming his innocence.
When he was in junior high, he was framed for molesting a girl he saves and was suspended.
Now his in highschool and he had become an outcast pig book worm that nobody would associate with.
The memory of why he was in this place was the last to flash across his mind. While walking home in the rain he saved a young girl who was in the middle of the street from a car resulting in him getting knocked out.
The doctor checked Li Song’s condition and declared that her recovery was progressing well, another two days of staying in the hospital and then she would be discharged.
After the doctor and nurse left, Li Song sat up on the bed.
Looking out of his window as he looked upon the clear blue sky.
A smile started to form on his face as his thoughts wandered.
“Since the heavens have given me another chance than I shall take it in stride!”.
