During the era of The Great Seas, the planet was overcome and almost entirely submerged by the cascading events of the forty-seventh Azure Moon. A dominating revival narrowly postponed by that generation's Heavenly Heroes, resulting in the rising sea levels over the course of the following three hundred years and the influence of the long-forgotten evil during the era of The Great Seas. In the current day, pirates, sailors, and all manners of sea-bound monsters are commonplace; and with the current state of the world, a new form of power have manifested to balance the world: Pearls of The Sea, mystical pearls of immense power formed at the bottom of the sea, and Abyssal Curses, objects born from the radiating power from the eternal enemy of the Heavenly Heroes.
