For a young man, to lose his life suddenly is a nightmare. A nightmare that is not easy to comprehend at first for any mind in its early twenties.  Despite that, young Jacob McLelan had met this fate when, in the span of a few minutes, everything he knew ended. Seemingly lost and honestly unsure of how he survived, the boy now finds himself within a cryosleep casket, freshly awakened within the confines of an ancient star-faring vessel. He is a human, the only creature left of this species in the confines of this Milky Way after the Scourge has wiped out mankind in its cradle, one thrust onto the center stage of great galactic turmoil that threatens to wipe every other Star Nation that calls the Galaxy its home.  The stars beckoned once for Mankind to come. Now, they look at its last survivor with the hope of salvation in their hearts and fear in the back of their minds.
