Synopsis
In a post-apocalyptic world where the surface is uninhabitable, humanity survives in sprawling underground cities. For 17-year-old Kai Veyron, life is confined to narrow tunnels, recycled air, and a single escape: The Nexus, a hyper-immersive virtual reality game where players can experience a life they’ll never have in the real world. Within the Nexus, you can become a warrior, a ruler, or even a hero. But for Kai, it's much more than a game—it's survival.
When strange glitches begin to plague the Nexus and players start disappearing without explanation, Kai discovers a hidden message embedded in the code. It hints at a deadly truth: the Nexus isn’t just a game, it’s a lifeline tied directly to the survival of the underground city itself. As he delves deeper, he uncovers a conspiracy involving the city’s leaders, a rogue AI, and secrets about the apocalypse that could shatter what’s left of humanity.
Now, Kai must master the Nexus, form unlikely alliances, and risk his own life—both virtual and real—to uncover the truth. If he fails, the last remnants of the human race may vanish, both in the game and in reality.
