In the rambunctious cacophony of the spring cicadas, if one sees clearly, one can hear a faint desire for creation as they try to attract attention of their significant others. A female cicada gently flies its wings as if caressing air in response.

Spring is such a season.

Full of warmth, new beginnings and a ritual of creation for all living beings – some bloom brightly, some break out of cocoons and some break grounds as they emerge.

A season of creation.

That is also how it seemed to Zi Yang, as he got ready to start his career today.

He was informed by the Void Empress that the spiritual tools of creation and all details have been completed.

Fortunately, he was ready too. He was unable to learn gigantification but he figured out a way to make do, just like he did with everything else.

He feels both proud and ashamed of trying to imitate creation – but he could not wait for a decade – so here we go.

At Void Empress’ home – in a room prepared especially for seclusion – Void empress handed a bunch of things to the frog along with a drop of her own blood to the hollow jade frog.

She wanted to observe this feat too.

With a thought in his mind, Zi Yang sank his conscious into the blood essence in his sea of conscious.

The hollow jade frog also entered his former home for sixteen years with familiarity and landed beside Zi Yang.

The blood essence had already transformed into Zi Yang’s appearance and with his conscious taking over, it appeared a lot more spiritual.

The frog also spit out the two primary tools and Void Empress’ blood drop, which transformed into her appearance immediately.

Seeing this, Zi Yang took a deep breath and begun the task at hand.

The two spectators saw as Zi Yang took the axe of creation and pushed the earth chisel back to the frog. He wanted to take things one by one as he asked.

Then his body grew larger. He used the energy in the sea of conscious to channel into his body and allow it to grow. This energy is unique to him so he could do this easily.

His body is now filled with the energy of this sea, even though the density does not seem to change decreased much – so much so that now neither the Void Empress nor the frog could see the head of the transformed giant.

All they saw were giant feet.

Then they heard a loud sound and saw an axe light.

Zi Yang had started the work of creation.

He used the energy in his entire body and kept attracting more from the surroundings as he fired one horizontal axe light with the maximum strength he could muster.

The combination of axe, ingrained laws and surrounding energy worked through him.

All three saw as the space was torn apart and, clear qi started rising and the turbid qi sank.

Then as the two yin and yang qi settled down – a mysterious attraction came and the established space began to shake.

Zi Yang quickly focused and instinctively thought of the reason and observed the energy flow and surrounding vibrations to determine the flow.

His talent worked again:

[Your act of creating a beast master space starting from one qi and division into two has sparked the three acupoints in your physical body to correspond to three talents pf heaven, earth and man.

He did not spend time on rejoicing on this happy coincidence and quickly followed suit. As the connected within the three acupoints deepened, the space was divided into three.

One could see top black space with still ravaging energy, a middle white space and the darkest bottom space with turbid energy.

He assumed it would be for the stars, above ground and under-ground spaces.

So far, he saw how one begets two and two begets three.

Disregarding this, he continued as his instincts and talent prompted based on his assumptions and previous like knowledge.

He fired four more axe lights at the four corners of the space and used the energy transformation of the axe to transform energy of water, wind, fire and earth to the four corners.

Five more axes with energy of water, wood, fire, earth and metal into the mix of the four corners.

The four spirits of creation and five elements started interacting as the space became turbulent with balancing of elements.

Zi Yang used the back of the axe head to backhand some space suppression as he fired six more axes to establish a cycle of nature. He used the space, time and weather energies coupled with elements to blend into the space.

These six axe lights established the harmony between elements.

With the next seven axes, Zi Yang established the trajectory of the stars.

Then he used eight axes to carve spaces for eight trigrams to link the realm of heaven, the realm of humans and the realm of earth so that laws interact.

One axe for heaven and earth each, One axe each for wind, water, fire and thunder. One axe for mountains and valleys.

Thus, other elements interacted across three realms based on these eight.

As tired as he was, he still fired nine axes as established nine palaces to stabilize this connection and interaction. These palaces formed by laws and for the laws were stationed in void - qian, kun, gen, zhen, zhong, xun, li, kun, dui.

Finally, he wanted to use last ten axe lights to define ten directions – north, northeast, northwest, east, west, southeast, southwest, south, up and…

When he tried to fire the last axe light to determine the direction, ‘down’, the creation axe which was already shaking with tremor could not bear any more exertion from friction and over channeling of energy and broke into three pieces.

Zi Yang expected this, so he used the broken head which transformed into a bell to suppress the ravaging energy reserved for the starry sky.

He used the Taichi diagram transformed from the axe handle to open up a bridge between heaven and earth to stabilize the place.

The blade transformed flag was used to shoo away outlier energies and sort out or rather cut out discordant or raging energies anywhere in the three realms.

Zi Yang was already exhausted by now. He was surviving solely by relying on drawing the energy of the space.

But now even breathing was a bit difficult for this clone energy. He had no choice to use some energy to suppress his body so as not to break.

Then he conveyed the idea of needing the earth chisel to the frog, who responded and flew into the space with the waiting Void Empress.

The two landed on his shoulders and Zi Yang finally had the chisel.

Zi Yang used similar 49 chisel strikes under-ground to define yin-yang, elements, directions and interactions.

The only difference being that the energy contained in all five elements was more yin than yang.

In the first strike, he separated yin and yang – the soul law filled the space.

After the elements were defined with yin heavy energy after fifth strike, Zi Yang struck in six directions to establish harmonies.

These six harmonies differed from the those of above ground too. They contained six principles which merged together to establish a prototype of six reincarnation principles:

Anger filled the realm of hell, miserliness filled the realm of hungry ghosts, stupidity filled the realm of animals, stupidity filled the realm of human, desire filled the asura realm and pride filled the heavenly realm.

Next seven strikes divided the seven rivers from the soul law which established seven sufferings which a soul must experience – birth, ageing, sickness, death, separation, unsatiated desires and pain, grief or despair.

The next eight strikes defined eight noble truths for a soul, to alleviate sufferings – right view, right resolve, right speech, right conduct, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness and right samadhi.

The soul law which initiated the creation determined that the aspects the underground would major in were soul related – everything that above ground has – it has too – but all reliant on soul energy.

The final nine strikes before defining ten directions and linking the half established down from above to half to defined up from down, were used to:

Establish another eighteen layers underground to house residents, sinners, and to circulate principles of nine worlds of hell, heaven, human, asuras, animals, hungry ghosts, seekers, oblivion and awakened.

These nine worlds are completely different from the six reincarnation realms.

During the creation, even Zi Yang might not have expected that so many insights would suddenly flow into his heart.

What no one noticed was that as the process was completed, an insignificant energy that was similar to yet different from the energy in the sea of conscious seemed to be shaky and began to disappear!

If Zi yang looked carefully, he might have identified this energy.

Finally, as the earth chisel was also broken,

The blade transformed into soul hooks.

The bevel turned into a bridge and lay across the rivers.

The socket and ferrule broke away and entered the prototype of the six realms of reincarnation.

The head and butt of the chisel broke into five mountains and five gates to guard them – with the power to suppress any physical or spiritual body’s essence, qi, spirit, nature or emotion.

As the creation was completed, Zi Yang was not relieved because the Taichi diagram had trouble suppressing the newly created underground down while sharing the pressure to hold the starry sky.

Seeing this, he could only imitate again and held the sky above his hands and transformed the pressure from above to suppress below.

And the pressure from below to above – he tried to maintain an equilibrium.

At this time, the Void Empress remembered that she had sensed the rhyme of suppression and support on the tree branch of heavenspan tree as she now sense Zi Yang giving off inadvertently.

She quickly asked the frog to take her out and bring it in.

Within a few minutes, they returned with the necessities.

Void Empress found a place at relative center and buried the heavenspan tree’s branch into the innate mixed soil and connected a lake dug with the luck condensed three lights divine water to that soil.

Soon the tree started growing rapidly.

After what seemed both a while and a long time – as they were all temporally impaired within the space during this process – the tree finally shared some pressure.

This time it seemed the beast master space was finally considered opened.

As if.
