War is hell. Those who are forced to fight in it have the roughest, muddiest jobs- even more so medics. When one such medic dies in combat, however, he finds himself on an island with creatures alien to him. Creatures capable of absurd supernatural feats. But the world is a peaceful one, and its people do not know conflict. This medic isn't sure he deserves this second chance.
