Synopsis
Accumulation | Spirit-core | Fantasy | Shapeshifting
Annoy them. Frustrate them. Insult them. Offend their senses, their pride, and their taste. Only then, my brothers and sisters, will you be safe from being picked by a mortal.
Elsier is a spirit, a being of pure chaos and energy, born in the spirit realm of Cradle Mountain Peak to the king himself.
Unfortunately, the king has several hundred children, and doesn't value any of them very highly.
In fact, he sells them.
Every year, mortal travelers are invited to visit Cradle Mountain Peak to purchase contracts of service with the princes and princesses of the realm. The young spirits are bound for decades into partnership with mortal mages, spirit warriors, and accumulators of every kind.
Following the sage advice of his elders, Elsier has managed to avoid the yearly exodus for four years running, but his strategy of avoiding notice could only work for so long.
It could be poetic justice that when a willing mage finally does contract him, he's summoned into the worst situation he could imagine.
