Envy is a poisonous thing, one that starts as a seed, but grows into a terrible leeching ivy. Trying to find out when Envy was first created is a difficult task, which might be meaningless. The General of Envy, the Devil who must collect the souls of those who are eaten alive by Envy isn't free from the Sin herself, because she was made out of it in order to reap it. The origin of her Sin was born long ago, and it is eating her alive to not be like the one she is so envious of. It's all eating her alive from the inside out, her own body looks like it's rotting away, so she needs to do something for salvation.
