The land of the gods has lapsed into a quiet wilderness, the great pantheons lie shattered, overwhelmed by nature. The gods had thought they stood upon unchanging ground, the rulers of the cosmos, the dictators of nature, the definers of cause. In reality, they stood upon belief– human belief. So as the humans began to learn more of the worlds around them, discarding understanding built on faith, the god's power crumbled– void of foundation. Now shards of the old god's power care for the natural world the humans construct in the pantheons’ ruins. Taking on the role of concepts and constants that cannot be seen by the human eye.  One such shard of divinity is Aspect, a lone and lonesome soul who cares for the River Time. It roams the endless span, keeping the river's flow from looping in on itself. Aspect's role is ill-defined, the humans across so many realities have only predicted a ‘probable’ something exists to care for time.  So to fill the gaps humans left in its existence, Aspect settles down just beyond Time’s many bends and fishes out the memories that change the worlds. Perhaps in these defining moments it can find a meaning for its self.
