Synopsis

Have you ever wanted to read a story about a superhuman from their very outset; to be there from their greatest trials and tribulations; one canon, lasting consequences, one definite conclusion?  This is that fiction.  Readers can expect: A singular narrative which follows an 18 year old boy from his initial discovery of his superhuman abilities and his path towards not only controlling his ever increasing power but also discovering and fighting for what he believes is right in our morally gray world. A British/English superhuman protagonist!  This story is about: A teenage outcast and underachiever thrust into ever more difficult choices whilst coming into his powers and beliefs; both of which profoundly feed into the other.  Archetype is going to be a long story: We're talking 1000's of pages at least. The story is built for longevity.  This series is made with this as the dream: Imagine a shelf filled with volumes based on the entire heroic career of a particular superhuman. I've often wished there was a similar 'complete novel series' for superheroes like Batman, or Spider-Man. I'm aiming to take the grounded real world we know and, throughout the series, create an exciting superhuman mythology that feels tangible and complete when it's reached it's final end. An unprecedented crisis leads Burgess O'Bannon and every other teenager aged 17-19 to be evacuated from their homes. Burgess considers not going along with the government's plans because it all seems too shady. He decides to go out on a limb and trust the government's evacuation plan, a decision which may very well be the worst (or perhaps the best) decision Burgess will make. **Deaths (permanent ones) can and will happen.  **An intriguing power system you (hopefully) haven't seen explored in this way before.  **Violence but never violence for its own sake, always to support what is happening in the story.  **This is the opposite of the 'Saturday morning cartoon' superhero fiction without going full edge-lord with it either. **Mental health issues, themes of abuse and similar real world issues are explored in this fiction (as respectfully as possible). **Contains horror elements
