Varyn Arzeth is one of the last remaining Arcane Art users alive, and he doesn't want to be anymore. After a tragedy caused by him losing control, he went into isolation, hoping to starve himself and his Arcane Embodiment, a manifestation of his power and soul, Ignis, to death. Centuries passed, and Varyn withered but never died, Ignis keeping the two of them alive out of spite, when suddenly Varyn was forced back into the world to hunt down and kill the man who made him lose control in the first place. His brother Villis. Varyn is determined to accomplish his goal, it is the only reason he has to keep living. But by the end of his journey, will he still be the same person he was? Despite those he lets get close to him begging him to reconsider, there is only one thing he holds to his chest at all times. Villis will die. No matter the cost. This is a story I am writing alongside my other story, The Lost Prophet, and while they are tied in certain ways, it is not required that you read one before the other. Fair warning though, this story is only being written in the downtime where I am stumped on what to write for Prophet, so the upload schedule here will be inconsistent at best.
