Suddenly, portals began to appear all across the world. These portals, after a long while, began to release monsters of myths and legends onto the world. This set the world into an apocalypse, people dying in droves to the monsters released from these portals. Governments as well as entire countries fell one after another to the monstrous power of these mythical creatures. It wasn't until about five years after the portals first appeared that people came into contact with it, 'The System'; nobody truly knew what it was, only knowing of the abilities it could give. By that point, governing bodies had already been set up and the world returned to a weird state of normalcy, an entirely different normal from the one before the portals, but still a state of normalcy nonetheless. Along with the arrival of the system came a message, one that ignited the hope of humanity, "If you wish to stop the creatures from the portals from invading your world, step up; enter the portals and fight for the future of not just humanity, but your entire world as you know it!"
