Monster's wipe out the capitol city every generation.  People flee they build new villages and new capital cities rise.  They forget their past and live in a cycle.  Only Farron retains its history of before the life trees.  They remember when there were no monsters.  When men walked on the moon and lived in vast cities.  The world may have forgotten what ended the world but never Farron.  Even when the world devolves into barbarism they remain ever moving forward.  When the great bell of freedom falls and AI start turning on people Farron will survive.
