Synopsis

Selvin has one year left to climb the ranks of magical power on the Named World of Elcasia before the Unnamed God and his Nameless hordes descend from the heavens to ravage the world of all human life, ripping away all their magical energy- their Names- seeking the Unnamed's single, ravenous, most desperate goal: to forge a Name for itself. The Named God, Aiena, the Supreme Creator... is presumed dead, or having never existed in the first place. In five hundred years across the Named Places, a dozen Named Worlds have fallen to the Unnamed. He has not once moved to save them. Nobody can halt the advance of the Unnamed. And now Elcasia is next, Selvin’s home. And no one can save them but their own power. For years, Selvin has been led by his Father, the most powerful Speaker warrior he knows, seeking to fight against their seemingly inescapable fate- doomed to be slain under the endless hordes from the night-void, unable to leave the World of Elcasia once the Unnamed's omnipotent will has locked its sights in place. Selvin's father guides him down a path to power, a path to survival.  But with his father's untimely, tragic death, Selvin is at a loss for how to continue. He has a powerful Ancestral Name, given to him by his father with the man's dying breaths; a Name of great and terrible power, that will allow Selvin to go toe to toe with the most powerful warriors on the planet. A Name forged by the collective power and experience of Selvin's ancestors, an ancient line stretching back to ancient history along the deeds of his ancestors, great and small. The only problem is... Selvin's Shroud- his magical signature- has been scarred. Wounded. After the battle that took his father, Selvin is forced to flee, broken, reduced in several tiers in all of his Attributes. Only a year remains- four years since the Doom of Elcasia was first spoken. And Selvin no longer has his powerful, seemingly all-knowing father to help him. And years of progress have been erased in a single day. The odds are stacked against Selvin, in every way imaginable. Can he fulfill his father's dying request... to save his own life, and those of all his friends and family, from the Unnamed?
