Matsumoto, an immortal being and his arch nemesis Ishikuro who is Unadmittedly his best friend are on a journey to obtain royalty and fortune. Ishikuro is dying from Cherenkov Radiation poisoning a side effect of his time travel abilities. He spends the last of his time traveling and spending time with Matsumoto until he returns to his time to rest in peace.  Matsumoto is desperately trying to fulfill his dream of becoming royalty and Feudal Lord of his continent. So Ishikuro his time traveling nemesis always seems to foil his plans. However Ishikuro is really just steering him in the proper direction and taking the heat.
