Synopsis
An American Family is a story of the secrets we find locked in the "all-American dream", secrets that easily hide behind the roles we expect one another to play. This story can be seen as a response to the issues many of us face in this country, due to mental health problems, addiction, expectations and social problems such as gun control. An American Family also puts a magnifying glass to the concept of family in America and how that concept defines relationships within families regarding truth and trust.
