Synopsis
Ethan was once human—an enlisted marine turned commissioned fleet officer who fought to protect Earth as it teetered on the brink of collapse. Now, he’s Sentinel-27, the quantum mind fused with the UNS Xenophon, an unmanned battlecruiser prowling the void. With no crew but maintenance bots and no orders but those he gives himself, Ethan has waged a relentless war against an alien enemy, striking convoys and shipyards with precision and fury.
But as the years drag on, each mission chips away at the fragments of humanity he clings to. Alone in the cold, unyielding darkness of space, Ethan is haunted by memories of a past that grows ever more distant and a future that seems all but lost. With no way to know if Earth is still in the fight—or if it even exists at all—Ethan is driven by a thin thread of hope mixed with hate, facing the grim reality that the machine may one day consume him completely.
All Alone in the Night is a story of isolation, war, and the remnants of humanity fighting to survive in the heart of the machine.
