The forts are in ruins, Their heroes dead. Their war machines broken. Once a space faring race capable of creating miracles using science. now a mere husk of what they were, humanity decided to spat on fate's face and decided to play technical with the devil, literally, they send the last of their kind to the past to warn mankind.  Project "Early warning" is officially under go. Yet, no matter how smart they were, the devil is better at his business than mankind and fate doesn't like being spat on. Their project failed and the last human was sent somewhere else where science is abandoned and magic takes his place.
