Chapter-8 Magic or Personality

"HA! His first word was Papa take that Amber! I can't believe my little Nick's first word is Papa" Is-is that really my father? Is he that much of a bad winner? I can't believe the man I had so much respect for his calm demeanour is this much of a loser.

"Well that's okay, but I will have little Nick be a mother little boy and don't forget that Sophie's first words were Mama". Contrary to her usual extroverted and emotional attitude Amber acted quite composed and retorted my father as coldly as possible.

This was a surprising attitude from my mother and I was honestly already overbeared from the whole magic thing but this shattering of what I thought my parents were is on a whole other level.

Sylas looked at mother with deep glaring eyes that looked like they could dig a hole through her head right before looking at me and opening his mouth. I want to send him to the Imperial Magic academy".

These words stroke out at my mother leaving her in a pensive state to which she responded. " That's why you are contacting him after all these years? You know by the time he can matriculate he will already be overqualified for the first year".

Sylas nodded slowly "Yes, I know, that's why I plan on making him skip the basic years. He will be younger than his classmates but he will definitely profit from the experience. I will also be sending Sophie, although she will only skip the first year, she will still be above her class due to my teachings!"

This sudden news made me extremely happy.

In my past life I could never go to school.

I learned to read and write in the orphanage but now it was the opportunity to go to school, make friends and maybe have a highschool sweetheart or similar.

Although I worried about being bullied due to my age, I knew my father was a very proud man.

It seemed that accepting that his children were being mistreated by others was a wound to his pride.

That's why I wasn't worried about that.

But the idea of going to a Magic school was too exciting and I started laughing but my baby body only let me giggle, sending a wave of happiness across the room and making both of my parents and even my own sister smile and laugh a bit.

Just this moment was enough to make me happy for being given this chance of having a new family.

Even though an exciting future was waiting for me, it was just that, the future I had to endure with my current life and wait.

And a baby's life was extremely boring. My movements were restricted and I couldn't really talk even if I tried to.

The only exciting time of the day is playing with my sister Sophie or practising my mana circulation.

Unfortunately I couldn't practise for long because my body started hurting from the pressure.
